Thank you for your interest in volunteering at
Ronald McDonald House of Houston.
We have a variety of volunteer
opportunities and time commitments available at Ronald McDonald
House. We hope that you will find a volunteer activity that
matches your personal talents and time schedule, so you can
begin a long and meaningful volunteer career at Ronald McDonald
House.
Shift Volunteers must be at least
18 years of age or older. Volunteer shifts are available
seven days a week. Volunteers are asked to work a total of
six hours a month. Volunteer shifts are scheduled in three
hour time blocks.
9:00 a.m. - 12:00
p.m.
3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. - 3:00
p.m.
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Business Office,
Development, Special Activity, and Family Activity Volunteers are
not shift volunteers and are not required to be 18 years of age.

Holcombe
House Volunteers
Welcome Office Volunteers
and Registration Volunteers greet and register families, orient families to the House,
explain policies and rules, check families out when they leave,
answer the phone, help with light clerical work, give tours and
help with special activities. Bilingual volunteers
are especially needed to communicate with our Spanish speaking
families.
Business Office Volunteers
and Development Volunteers
assist with special events, accounting, database management,
filing, mailings, telephoning, newsletters, and other clerical
work.

Ronald McDonald House
and Family Room Volunteers at
Texas Children's Hospital
RMH at TCH Volunteers work in the 20 bedroom House and
support families whose children are being treated in the
Intensive Care areas of the hospital. They help keep the House
facilities at Texas Children's clean, neat, organized and
stocked, check families in and out of the bedrooms, bake
cookies, visit with parents, and assist with other projects and
activities.
RMH Family Room Volunteers at TCH work in the Family
Rooms to support patients and families on the
Oncology/Hematology Inpatient and Outpatient floors. They help
keep the two Family Rooms clean, neat, organized and stocked,
bake cookies, visit with parents, entertain patients and assist
with other projects and activities.

Ronald McDonald House Volunteers at
Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital
RMH at CMHH Volunteers
work in the 14 bedroom House and support families whose
children are being treated in the Intensive Care areas of
the hospital. They help keep the House facilities at
Children's Memorial Hermann clean, neat, organized and
stocked, check families in and out of the bedrooms, bake
cookies, visit with parents, and assist with other projects
and activities.

Activity Volunteers
Family
Activity Volunteers -
usually groups of volunteers - spend time with the families by providing
dinners, lunches, games, field trips, crafts, and other fun
activities.

Special
Activity Volunteers
Special Activity Volunteers help
at our annual golf tournament, biennial gala, and other House
fundraising events or special activities. If you would like to
volunteer at a House event, view our
